Brian Hodorek, President and CEO, Co-Founder
Brian has been in the orthopedic industry since 2001, with experience in R&D including Product Development Engineer, Group Manager, and Director of R&D for large and mid-size companies. Brian has been focused on Upper Extremity nearly his entire career with a majority of his work concentrated on shoulder and elbow arthroplasty. He holds over 45 patents issued or currently in prosecution and co-authored a chapter in Dr. Mark Frankle’s book, Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty: Biomechanics, Clinical Techniques, and Current Technologies. He has led global teams in designing and launching flagship shoulder and elbow systems for multiple companies.
Brian’s passions include surgeon relationships, innovating in the Upper Extremity field, and creating new revolutionary designs as opposed to evolving current technology. He has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, West Lafayette, and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Purdue University, West Lafayette.
Brian resides in Winona Lake, Indiana with his wife Amber and three children (Barrett, Bianca, & Baxter). He enjoys spending time with family, Purdue football and basketball, working on cars and boats, and spending time on the lakes.
Matt Purdy, CCO and CFO, Co-Founder
Matt has been in the orthopedics industry since 2004, with commercial experience spanning fortune 50, mid-cap and an entrepreneurial startup companies. Matt has spent the vast majority of this career focused in the upper extremity market with a concentration in shoulder arthroplasty. His positions have included Sales Support Roles, Product Management and Director of Marketing where he led a team in creating and promoting a world class product portfolio with some of the most influential surgeons in the world.
Along with a successful track record of launching more than a dozen products, Matt has also been awarded 3 patents. He has a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Huntington University, and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Matt resides in Warsaw, IN with his wonderful wife Jeri and four daughters (Savannah, Adi, Lucy & Kinsley). He enjoys quality time with family, Notre Dame football and spending time on the lake.
RUSS PARROTT, CTO
Russ has been in the orthopedic industry since 2003, with experience in R&D including product development engineering, project management, process validation engineering, and materials research engineering for Zimmer Biomet. Russ began his career with a focus on Upper Extremity and has led teams in designing and launching shoulder, elbow, and wrist arthroplasty systems. Though a variety of team and managerial roles, Russ also has experience in the development of trauma, hip, and knee devices.
Along with commercializing medical devices, Russ has a track record of innovation; including 18 patents issued or currently in prosecution. Russ has a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Ball State University.
Russ resides in Winona Lake, IN with his wife Becca and three sons (Ian, Cole, and Andrew). He enjoys downhill skiing and boating with his family.
Alec Cunningham, Senior Development Engineer
Alec has been in the orthopedic industry since 2016, with experience in new product development, post market engineering, and process validation in Extremities, Knees, and Trauma for Zimmer Biomet. Through a variety of roles, he has learned valuable insights in product development, testing, manufacturing, and risk mitigation.
Alec recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette. His well-rounded education includes entrepreneurship and innovation as well as minors in intellectual property law and political science. He is also a self-taught software engineer.
Alec resides in Warsaw, IN and enjoys spending time on the lake, golfing, and weight training.
Cole myers, Senior Development Engineer
Cole has been in the orthopedic industry since 2017, with experience in new product development, customs engineering, and product verification, for Zimmer Biomet. Cole began his career in a customs engineering role focusing on instruments for Upper Extremity, Knees, Hips and Trauma. Through a variety of roles, he has learned valuable insights in product development, manufacturing, design control, and risk mitigation.
Along with Cole’s success in customs engineering Cole currently has a patent in prosecution. Cole recently completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from University of Iowa, Iowa City.
Cole resides in Warsaw, IN and enjoys spending time on the lake, golfing, downhill skiing, camping, hiking and watching Iowa sports.
